We are pleased to share with you the news that Xi’an Schaltbau has obtained the AEO certificate from Xi'an Customs after passing related examinations and reviews. The AEO certification will add another management system to our company to facilitate our import and export procedures and improve related management.

Since now on, the AEO certification will join the other six operating management systems in our company to safeguard the normal operation, which include ISO9001 quality certification system, ISO14001 environmental management system, ISO18001 occupational health and safety management system certification, ISO22163 (IRIS) system, CCC product certification system, and CRCC product certification system.

The AEO certification is the abbreviation of Authorized Economic Operator. Since 2019 China customs started the implementation of General Administration of Customs No. 177 (On Promulgation of "Customs Certification Enterprise Standards"), various companies have started certification work under the new standard requirements. Our company also paid great attention to this certification. We set up the AEO project team, led by the top management. All the departments actively participated, studied, discussed, analyzed, and planed together for the deployment.

Although the project progress was impacted by the COVID19 virus pandemic in the certification process, we has kept up on every preparation. Through continuous learning, corrections and improvement, we finally passed the certification in October 2020. The AEO certification for Xi’an Schaltbau is not easy and it is even not possible without efforts of our employees.

The AEO certification is not only an international obligation of the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards, while the main content is also an important reference for the construction of the credit system. The China Customs Enterprise Credit Management Measures will work as an important starting point for the construction of the social credit system. Operating in compliance with laws and regulations is the prerequisite for sustainable development of all enterprises. The implementation of customs AEO certification will do good to the supply chain security and trade facilitation, and it will also be an opportunity for enterprises to improve compliance, internal control, and risk control.

From an operational perspective, companies can improve the efficiency of import and export customs clearance, reduce capital costs, reduce inspection ratios, and effectively avoid anti-smuggling risks. From the perspective of regulatory needs, passing certification will improve corporate compliance management levels, enhance internal control management capabilities, and be more legally compliant.
