In recent years, Xi’an Schaltbau has taken series of actions and activities to improve the awareness and competence level of basic and special production skills among all the production related personnel. We believe that such efforts help our technicians to make improvements. They will get more professional knowledge, quality, safety awareness and operational skills on different positions. These activities will also help form a very appealing atmosphere for knowledge and skills.

A competition will be a good facilitator. On July 29, we have successfully launched the first production skills competition in our workshop.

This competition was sketched by the management, mainly planned and executed by the Production Department as well as the Process and Equipment Management Department and Quality Management Department. On the morning of July 29, Mr. Gao Yantao, head of Production Department, kicked off the competition by a brief ceremony. All the production related personnel joined the ceremony.

Some management also show their support, including Mr. Wang Xiaolin, production director general, Mr. Peng Qianjin, HR manager, Mr. Niu Hongjun, Quality Manager, Mr. Zhang Haiqi, Process&Equipment Manager. Mr. Wang Xiaolin also gave a speech on behalf of the management to all the participants. Mr. Zheng Yongtao answered by a speech on behalf of the employees.

In total, seven teams of 28 participants joined the two rounds of competitions of technological theory and practical manual operation skills. The referees from quality and development departments are very careful and responsible. All the participants show their actual competence and expertise on site.

After half day, three teams finally got the gold, silver, and bronze awards. Their achievement is based on statistics of scores on every knowledge and skills. The first 3 teams include: Metro group, S 1000 group, and Toggle group.

With the support from different people from Xi’an Schaltbau, we successfully finish the competition. We believe the activities attract every one into our core production skills and help improve our team work. We also hope such a competition activity can be performed in the coming years.
