Xi'an Schaltbau Laboratory was firstly founded in 1994 for the purpose of shortening the product development cycle, ensuring product design quality, and enhancing the core competitiveness of product technology innovation. Xi'an Schaltbau has expanded the testing competence and related investment in 2017. Now both the laboratory hardware and management is improved. The lab improvement plan is divided into three phases. Deployment began in 2018 and will be completed in 2020.
The upgraded laboratory covers an area of about 180 square meters and is divided into two test areas. One area is for general project tests. The tests include the electrical parameters, high and low temperature performance, insulation performance of the product. The other area is for testing contactor products.
There is also a special experimental ar ea for testing the on-off performance and temperature rise performance of contactor products. In the area, the following functions can be achieved generally: experimental verification of new product development; product upgrades and improvement verification tests; product quality defects; Verification tests and supplementary tests required by customers.
In addition, from a long-term perspective, Xi’an Schaltbau Laboratory is gradually building the qualifications for third-party product testing, undertaking the corresponding external test business, and hopefully becomes an advanced laboratory in the rail transit industry.
